Bass... So you can't stand on the ice but you can "ice-it" from the dock. Kind of pushing the envelope a tad isn't it? To each their own I guess, but this doesn't sound too cool, and I don't think a fish is worth it, and I don!t think I would post about it. MYO Good Fishing! Ski
Seems like a valid loophole to me. The reason towns don't allow you on ice is because of liability not to stop you from fishing. You can fish year round if you can get your line in the water. I think it is a good idea personally.

I say he was not ice fishing as he was not standing on the ice! I think it is a clever way of overcoming an obstical And getting your line in the water. I don't feel any warden would have any problem with it.
And to keep gas and oil out of water supply lakes. That have no water contact rules. I hear on thinking outside the box but remember most the land and water are leased in Colorado and can be pulled away from are use for very stupid reasons.
