Fishingfreek, I have only seen wipers out there once, and that was a few years back. I've been out there a handfull of times this year, and I have only gotten bass. It seems like alot of the fish have been moved around into different ponds, and the fishing was great. but as for the wipers, I havent gotten any wipers out of ther, so I dont know that t throw for them out there, but as for flies and lures, I've only gotten one wiper on the fly, and I got it on a game changer streamer. Ive got one or two every year on a squarebill crankbait, so you might want to try that. You might want to check out this link. It has lots of info on some of the local natural areas, and riverbend is on there as well. [log in for link]

Just looked it up no sure what it means if fishing is permitted. Does that mean it's fishable?

Yeah, that means you can fish it. Wading around the edges is difficult because it drops off quite quickly. Easy weed growth in a fairly wind-protected trough. I haven't put in a lot of time but the bass were small and quick to attack out of the reeds.

I was able to check out the ponds for a bit today. Didn't bring a rod, but I did see people catching bluegill, and I watched something big tearing up some baitfish out in the middle of one of he big ponds. It could of been a big largemouth, but I'm guessing a wiper.
