Went to Marble this weekend and passed by what used to be a reservoir. Nothing but reddish-brown mud and a trickle of water going through the middle. It really sucks if they drained it just to get rid of the Pike!
I used to drive by that reservoir pretty often for work, and I've seen what you're describing several times. Maybe the demand sometimes exceeds the storage capacity...not sure. If they were trying to get rid of pike, they probably would've just treated with rotenone. Whatever the reason, it's too bad. Thanks for posting.
