Hiking for Cutthroats

First time at Silver Dollar and Murray. Almost 5 mile hike round trip to visit both lakes. Didn't catch anything at Silver Dollar. Murray was just as tough, but I got lucky enough to land a couple.

Spicy? Why would you say such horrible things? You know, no profanity is allowed on the site.. like that word that starts with I.

Yea I've done that hike a couple times, fished once...not much luck...caught one nice cut out of the deal. Nice scenery and easy walk-in however. Hmmm, maybe that's the problem...

Those are awesome pictures icehole, cool cutthroat too! I saw that ice too spicy, won't be long now. I don't like your negativity angler.

Nice! Great pictures too! I didn't know about that lake, glad I checked out this post! What's the limit on Cutts at this lake? Four?

Just saw this lake has it's own lake page, but didn't see any info on it? Guess I'll have to google it

Thanks for sharing

KF13, I submitted some info on this lake and the hike to be added to the lake details page. Hit me up on my skipper link if you are interested and I'll send it to you. I believe the limit of four applies to this lake, but all I wanted were pics. Don't get your hopes up for catching a lot of fish here. I saw a group of 17 cutthroats in the shallows and they were spooked very easily. I made the hike expecting to catch nothing and just get some scenery pictures, but I was thrilled when I caught one, and the 5 more additional hook ups after that were a bonus!
