Fish: Greenback Cutthroat

A cutthroat business

Post By: OldMikkDale      Posted: 8/28/2014 7:38:53 AM     Points: 1693
The Denver Post has an interesting article about the greenback cutthroat trout on the front page of today's paper. This article gives more details about the comeback and the effort that is being made for the true greenback than other articles I have read. If a member with more smarts than me thinks this is interesting, then please post a link.

Makes me wonder. What about the protected greenbacks in Rocky Mtn. Nat'l Park? Is that now bogus?

I don't think the greenbacks in the park are "pure" greenbacks. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Either way very cool bring em back!

Thank you NativeCuttie and boogieman for your links. I followed the link to Colorado mag. and watched the video and checked out another link. What was thought to be the green back was really a Rio Grande cutthroat according to one link.

Hats off the the wildlife department for discovering and providing regeneration of the greenback.
