Of course I felt it. And yup, 4 months to ice on baby ! Just hoping its not like the heat wave like 2002.

C'mon angler, it wont be that bad. Besides the faster the ice gets here the faster next open water season will come for all the warm weather guys out there.

Yeah, I heard it too, Kev-o! Hey anglerwannabe, don't get me started on ice fishing... I'm enjoying the pontoon right now! But some cooler weather would be nice! I think I'll take the ice rod on the toon and vertical fish for some perch!

I've had the ice rod in the yak a few times but haven't busted her out yet. Anyone have a freezer big enough we could freeze some lake water. Drill a hole and float out to a good spot :)

Maybe skiman had a nip or 2 or 3 out of a bottle.

So I'm not the only guy who always gets that "fall is coming" sign every year midway through August (or so). Every year about this time I come in off the deck and announce that fall is on the way because of the chill and/or smell in the air... and every year the wife tells me that I say that about this time every year.

Absolutely love fall... but winter is for skiing and boarding...not sitting around a hole drilled in the water. Just a little too sedentary for me. Blame it on the ADD (heh).

Actually I did notice 5 leaves on the Mountain Ash tree have turned yellow 8-)

Actually I would love the days to dip to low to upper 50's and night to hit mid 30's to low 40's.

I actually had to turn my heat on the other morning just to knock the chill off in my truck.

That's what coffee is for, not the heater... It's getting time for fishing Dillon all night in my tube or my yak...

First weekend in November, I will be on the ice.

For now I will begin to enjoy fall bass fishing.....well in about 3-4 weeks anyhow. Still in the dog days of Summer.

This has been a mild Summer so far though.....come on early winter.

While at the lake Wednesday morning, I saw 2 leaves fall off a tree and float past me.....

winter sucks.

Uh huh, 37 degrees this morning at Land of Lakes Wisconsin.

3 months bud it has snowed already at a couple of the lake I visit I am hoping three weeks then no more yard work are gardening.

I think I saw some skim ice this morning

I saw yellow leaves today too, but they were attached to sunflowers.
