Fish: Black Bullhead

Slayed some bullhead as the sun went down!

I was out fishing with my friend and our girlfriends for 2 hours and we caught 8 good sized bullhead. The biggest was about 16" and one was barely under 4 pounds. We had to leave to go start a fire down in their creek cause I think the girls got tired of fishing haha I'll go back soon with just the guys and hopefully we will catch some real monsters! Also had a three way swivel with two hooks on it and caught two at the same time! Overall it was a great experience and my first cats of the summer, because I'm not a pro like FISHRANGLER hahaha

a couple of those are toad bullheads for sure, there are not many it seems in the lakes I fish in Northern CO, but growing up in the southern part of the state I used to have a blast on those guys...I miss the little guys

Well your the best, greatest biggest, pro, King of the Bullhead catfish.
Best post in all the years here on FXR of bull heads in CO and camp fires with the ladies.

Im not a eater of cats but If I was catching those, I may.

Thats a good sign to me
the spawn is over, maybe for channels also, you can see they are all brusied and battered from that.

That is pretty sweet kingfisher! Thanks FISHRANGLER, well if I'm that then you are the king of channels hahaha maybe someday I'll actually catch some of the real big catfish you do lol I didn't know 14 was an MA that is sweet! No I don't have any bread hahaha
