saugeye and monster cat

Caught quite a few saugeye this evening. Bite was good. But then I hooked into a monster cat. 6# test on a st Croix light rod and flueger presidential. Thank the fish gods for goods equipment. Got him right to the shore and broke the leader. About a10 minute fight, he was tired but nonchalantly made his was back to the deep. I'm guessing he was about 30". Nothing like catching big fish on light tackle. A thrill that is best described when it's experienced!
