Lake: Montgomery Reservoir

Conditions 6/14/14

Fished early this morning and caught 12 stocker size rainbows in an hour between the two of us, using power eggs. Water level is a bit low, but water clarity is good despite the large volume of water coming into the lake.

There is a sign posted at the entry gate to the reservoir clearly stating "NO" overnight camping or fires, boating or floating devices, swimming or scuba diving, discharging of firearms, PETS WITHIN 100 YARDS OF SHORELINE, ice fishing.

As the lake skipper and an official representative of Fish Explorer, do you feel that these rules should be selectively enforced?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Sincerely,

Greg Stafford

Greg, thank you for pointing that out. Being new to the lake is no excuse for not knowing all the rules. Sometimes authorities are not always present to enforce them, thankfully we have polite people like yourself to kindly remind us. I apologize, it won't happen again.

Awesome pics, looks like a good time!
Sorry, i dont see the point keeping dogs 100 yards from shore.
Maybe someone should tell those goats to stay at least 100 yards from the shoreline!

How about the cows that bath themselves in Spinney or use the toilet in the creeks that flow into them? You ever wade through one of those when your fishing from the shoreline? Those are cool pics and to see the mountain goats like that would really make the trip.
