I live in Fort Collins and I was wondering if I can use minnows at Arvada Reservoir? what are some of the better spots to fish on the reservoir?

Arvada is an electric motor only lake and doesn't allow aquatic bait.
No body contact with the water.
The upper left corner has a tab find lake/river that will allow you to check on a lake and give you information on that lake.
good luck fishing.

no body contact? does that mean you can't tube it?

from the lake site on here
The Arvada/Blunn Reservoir site is open to the public for fishing, hiking, and boating. The reservoir serves as an important water source for the city of Arvada, supplying the city with 25% of its drinking water. For this reason, water contact sports such as wind surfing, swimming, water skiing, tubing and scuba diving are not permitted. Because of the relatively small size of the reservoir and for water quality reasons, gas-powered boats are prohibited. However, electric trolling motors are permitted.

I found this lake last year and I'm hooked. It is usually good for a few stocker trout along the West and Southwest walkway but I saw a nice cat caught along the dam trolling with night crawlers. I prepped all winter for this season, even got a boat. Maiden voyage is this Saturday AM. Stay tuned.
