That place makes for a fun day. The perch are dinky but it's fun anyway. Awesome job.

I was wondering if you or anyone else knows of a good way to cook the little dinks so that I don't have to go through all the work of fileting?

It's been fun up there this winter. I just wish those perch would grow a little bigger. We threw all ours back in hopes of them growing up a little.

I guess the question is if they are small from fishing pressure or from over-population. If the latter, the only way to make them bigger is to keep a bunch of them. If the former, then yeah, the lowest bidder (in size) always "wins."

You should freeze those for cat bait. Heres the best way to clean small perch and get a meal. [log in for link]
