HI
Ice is currently restricted to the inlet of the Uncompahgre River at the southern end of Ridgway Reservoir. The ice is 8 inches thick in most of the frozen section but there has been limited ice fishing activity to date. The ice fishing had been good on the ponds below the dam in the Pa-Co-Chu-Puk section of Ridgway State Park. As always, the Uncompahgre River below the dam is fishing well with people reporting good success with small emergers and egg patterns. Please make sure you obey all current fishing regulations, beware of changing ice conditions and dress for the weather.
Wanting to get the toon out Saturday after work and I hear there is still open water up there. Are you able to launch any where near the boat dock? Or around the Dallas entrance? Any info would be great as if I can't get on some open water up there I will prob take the auger up to Blue.
