mid winter open water

I went for a walk and found a lake with some open water. Went back with some gear and tried some fishing. I guess bullheads are tough fish that feed all winter. Metro lake with open water on the north shore.

Just FYI - If you fish the bottom, you can catch them trough the ice, and I have, somewhat regularly when I have tried.
