Lake: Barnes Meadow Reservoir

Barnes Meadow - Poudre Canyon

Post By: Zjhok      Posted: 12/22/2013 2:31:49 PM     Points: 621
So, Im really looking for some good fisheries nearer to the Poudre Canyon area. We moved to the mouth of the Poudre last year and I want to fish more often at closer areas instead of going all the way to Taylor, Granby, etc. I want to focus on Lake and Browns of size. Fish Red Feathers often but its usually tons of fish and small which is fine but looking for some bigger fish.

Any info on Chambers, Barnes, Joe Wright etc would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Z

I haven't personally fished Chambers, but from what I hear it is a mix of small lakers and bows. Joe Wright is tough to get down to, but the fishing can be great for grayling and an occasional cutthroat. Barnes Meadow is a fun lake and you can catch small bows all day long, that is if you can find them. Hope this helped.
Tight lines,
Rob

joe wright for graylings, barnes for rainbow, chambers for Macks, kokes, and rainbow, Petersen for cuts and bows, Zimmerman for cuts. Seamen for perch, and watsen for trout. hope this helps, kind of a late response.
