had some free time this morning and was poking around on Bassmaster.com and saw this on their main page... [log in for link] good work by all that helped, i fished there before they drained it and caught some hogs! big cats, huge largemouths, big pike/tigers, good sized saugeyes, tons of decent sized carp, and i even caught a random 20" brown trout on a big bass spinnerbait. it will be interesting to see how the new lake fishes once they put the predators back in the lake (and which ones they put in!)

That is close to home and the place both my girls caught their first little fish. A perch for the oldest and a tiny catfish for the youngest.
Many nice evenings spent their with the kids.
Hopefully when it is ready we can find fish there again panfishin!

Happy Holidays

I'm really looking forward to fishing this lake this summer/fall. I agree there were some hogs in this lake before they drained it. Looking forward to seeing some fellow fxr members this upcoming year!

Watched the lake drain, die, deconstruction, reconstruction and subsequent resurrection. Everyone involved did incredible job!
