Fished for about two hours Wednesday night at Huston Lake. I tried to get there before nightfall, but work is ridiculous.
Anyway, fished with crawlers on one rod and livers on the other. Livers were dead for the whole trip. The crawler rod had some action, but no landed fish. Very light pulls which tripped the indicator enough to attempt the hook set. Hooked one fish (obviously small) and fought it for about 10 seconds before it shook my hook.
Couldn't tell if it was a channel or another species... It was small, but feisty--- darting the line across the water east and west before throwing the hook.
This lake is slowing down pretty drastically as the weather is getting colder. I'll try to fish it Sunday afternoon for carp and will report if I can get out there.
