Thinking of going camping at Dowdy next weekend. Anyone been up there lately to give any updates on water levels/Fishing ETC please. Were bringing the 14ft alum boat to do some traolling and float tube to do some fly fishing.

Been to Dowdy 3 times in the last 6 weeks, last was 9/8. Fishing was slooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwww. talked to numerous others who reported the same. Was in pontoon with flyrod. fished buggers, caddis, midge and everything between. Only action was 9/8 early evening on Madam X and black foam beetle. Worst part was the few rainbows I caught have been infected with Anchor Worms, real ugly red oozing spots on them with a tiny worm hanging out. I did pass the Stocking truck coming back from Redfeather on 9/18, don't know whick lake he stocked, but maybe a fresh batch of fish will help.

Fished and camped at Dowdy last weekend. Water level was really high. The beach areas are underwater and barely showing. Caught a bunch of small stockers on the fly rod. They were also biting on kastmasters and powerbait. We also fished at West Lake and the fish was bigger there then Dowdy. If you have a RV, I would recommend getting up there early as it is first come first serve. We got lucky and snagged the last spot.
