Was looking at the map and was wondering if Kendrick lake or any of the surrounding ponds right there had any good fishing or if you're even allowed to fish in that area and the surrounding ponds

Yeah no problem. Those ponds are pretty typical metro ponds. Good catfish and carp action with everything else being only OK. Get creative to to catch fish since they're so pressured. Think outside the box and you'll get into them.

I've never caught a carp on purpose in colorado lol, What kind of catfish are we talking about? like 8" dinks and bullheads or chatfield pond monsters?

Give it a try - you may be surprised at the challenge and fun of reeling in one of these golden beauties !

Tight-Lines,

I dunno man. Put a gob of worms on the bottom and you should have your answer in 30 minutes.

Me n the family fish pretty much all the ponds around that area. Main Res you can catch just about everything in there if you can find a spot to fish. The kids and my girl enjoy pulling bluegills and perch outta all of the lakes, Kendrick, cottonwood, Smith, Main, those are the ones we usually fish whenever we can't travel far. Throw some worms out and you will usually catch something.

Kendrick
All the fish died last year or at least 90 % did floating cats and bass everywhere the aerators were off for a week during the higher temps.
It was so bad the Crawdads were climbing out of the lake by the millions. Seen it with my own eyes.

Fishrangler, I think you got the lakes mixed up, Ketring Park is the one that summer killed last year and it was an ugly site for sure.
