Lots of brownies in Beaver Creek

Decided to try the southern part of Beaver Creek yesterday, going up through Penrose. In a couple hours of fishing, I caught and released 10 fish, 8 of which were browns. That being said, I think there's a pretty good population of browns in this creek it probably should be updated in the species listed. Nice place to go to get out of the heat. Canyon is pretty steep in spots making it more than necessary to wade up the creek.

Has anyone fished the meadows below Skaguay recently? Taking the dog and doing some fishing/hiking up there over the 4th weekend.

The fish in Beaver Creek are for the most part, small. This is a very fragile fishery right now as the water levels are low and very warm The fish are really stressed, so please use care when fishing this creek. You might want to be careful in the meadows too, as unlike the fish, the rattlesnakes are quite active. Good Fishing!
