Lake: Cottonwood Lake #4 (Grand Mesa)

Cottonwood Lake(s) Forum(s)

There are Three (3) forums for Cottonwood Lake. There seems to be discrepancies in those. I was reading the one I thought was the lake near Buena Vista and Flyrodon mentioned that he would like to get those going in the Grand Mesa, but then I chose another "Cottonwood Lake" which was labeled Grand Mesa. Reading the third is the lake on Kipling and Jewel correct?

Can we label those or distinguish them a little better or at least change the comments in those?

For me particularly, I grew up fishing Cottonwood Lake near Buena Vista and post on that lake alot (just didn't have a lake page then), but also now that I live in Denver, I live near and fish Cottonwood Lake on Kipling and Jewel now too. I just want to be able to distinguish them.

I know that they do not get a whole lot of use as you can tell when you enter each forum, but I would like to change that.

Both (probably all three) are good lakes with different species to offer.

There are at least 4 Cottonwood lakes on the Grand Mesa. If I had time I would look it up on my map Maybe 5 Lakes in all.

Couple items. When things are noted that need fixing on the site, an email to the state editor will get them cared for sooner than a forum post. This thread very well could have missed my attention had icefishingfool not shot me an email. I don't do most of the moderation, and don't check many threads.

I added a couple more Cottonwoods, and I'm sure will add numerous more before we're done. With each I will try to add a nearby geographic identifier to the name so they can be readily distinguished.
