Hogg of a Bass

Post By: fishingfreak      Posted: 5/5/2012 3:34:57 PM     Points: 780
fished morning up northern front range, ran into a fishing clinic after catchin trout, crappies, and pike. then went a bit to the west side of i-25 and caught tons more crappie. Then at last minute i saw this bad bass....It didnt seem too hungry, because i threw almost everything at it.So i caught a blue gill and used it. Next thing you know it was on.

and then i found this inside him, he was going after crappies, yes its a crappie you cant really see it but it is

I've been watching this bass for years now, catch and release a few times, and he still lays down at the same spot. However this year hes made his growth and the spawning has been done. Hes a beaut!

Especially after its been taken by using an illegal bait

Im sooooo tired of all this..now I know what Tc meant when he said dont be a Googan!

When will it end!?

Ok heres a little knowledge for you once bass complete the physical act of spawning the male hangs around and protects the eggs/fry. The reason that fish comes to the same spot is because hes SPAWNING there now since you removed him off the bed his eggs/fry will be eaten by crappie(like the one he allready ate probably protecting his bed) and other panfish. Now the reason he wasnt paying attention to ALL the different baits you were throwing at him is because hes GAURDING EGGS/FRY!
ok so not only did you kill a bass for the sake of eating it you killed 2-5000 bass that had the potential to be trophy sized fish.

Now was it illegal to keep the bass I dont think it was..But morally wrong I think so,but hey who am I just another reason to keep fishing information quite here..thanx alot bud

This is all the proof I will ever need to never give another spot away on this website. Fishingfreak, you're an excellent fisherman and I respect you for your skill. But you gotta know better than 1. taking a big bedding bass from a small lake and 2. putting it up on here.

Fishingfreak...You've been on this site long enough to know what happens when you post dead bass pics. Unless you are intentionally trying to stir the pot why would you post a dead, spawning bass photo?

Tight Lines...zzz
