Today at Carter Lake

All,

If you are out at Carter Lake today, you will notice some changes. In keeping step with our water elevation projections as they pertain to the secondary outlet work being done at the south dam, both the South Boat Ramp and the Swim Beach went out of service today.

As those of you on my e-mail list and those who attended our public meetings over the past year and a half probably recall, the South Boat Ramp was targeted for a late July end date. Both it and the Swim Beach become unusable at an elevation of roughly 5699.

Currently, both the North Pine boat ramp and the North boat ramp remain open. Our projections, which are subject to change due to weather and water demands, still show the North Pine boat ramp going out of service at the end of August and the North boat ramp going out of service after Labor Day.

If you have any related questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail or call me here at Reclamation.

Best,
Kara

Thanks Kara! I was out a week or so ago and the south ramp was looking a little sketch with mud all over it...thanks for letting us know!
