Fished sunday around fishermans cove. water was extremely clear. Had a good day sight fishing bass in the shallows. The morning bite was good until about 10:00 when the wind picked up. Caught about 16 bass mostly spotted and a few smallies. My buddy caght a nice bucketmouth also. most fish were caght in about 2' to 8' of water bouncing a texas rigged crawler.
i have had very similar outings there recently also getting a bunch of the spotted bass , all with the texas rig , its cool to catch them guys as you see them chase your set-up then bam ! nice fish Mountain Junkie
beautiful fish man i had the same luck yesterday fishing in fishermans cove with a texas rigged crawler i caught a nice smallie and a pretty nice bucket suprised a didint see you out there lol great times bro
anyone wanna be a pal and tell me how to get to this fishermans cove? id like to try my luck there, thanks, just tryin to catch some fish. Ive only fished pueblo res once today and I just moved here about 2 weeks ago, thanks ya'll.
Fishermans cove is in he free area of the res. From the pueblo west entrance turn right at the dirt road before the toll booth. Any of the shell cliffs are a good place to get into bass. Especially smallies and spots.
