Tom grew up in southwest Michigan catching panfish out of small lakes with his dad, happy to occasionally catch a largemouth bass. Now he's addicted to carp on the fly, has a young family, and is back in Michigan looking for steelhead and muskie.

He also likes golf and disc golf. He's currently a middle school math and social studies teacher in northern Michigan getting FxR set up there, restoring a 1963 Boston Whaler 13, figuring out how to catch great lakes steelhead on the swing, and just hoping for a follow from a muskie.
