Body Glove & FishExplorer Winter Reports Campaign
Blog by: Matt Snider 11/21/2018
I know we have the Winter Giveaway going on, and that's exciting. Go enter now
. It is a way for us to say thank you to everyone for their contributions and involvement throughout the year.
But now I want to introduce something else. This time of year, it is so important to stay on top of conditions as the weather shifts and waters change. Maintaining current conditions is the core of FishExplorer, and we need all the help we can get. Until we have every body of water updated more often than needed, I will dedicate all my time to the project - even if it means canceling my future fishing trips! OK maybe that's going too far, but I will definitely keep on it!
So I've got a deal for you to help keep things rolling this winter.
We have teamed up with Body Glove
to provide an incentive to you and to remind you that we need your help, often, and always. It is dubbed the "Winter Reports Campaign
". Every approved report you submit now through the end of the year will go in as an entry for the drawing of a Body Glove Mariner ISUP
(that's an inflatable standup paddleboard).
I never much considered providing incentives for reports, as I'd prefer to rely on the goodwill of folks volunteering their helpful wisdom of their own free will, for the good of the community. But I want to try this promotion, to see if it helps boost reports during an important transition period. And maybe get some reports from folks who have never submitted reports, or never knew that FishExplorer was more than a forum.
So we run this campaign with the intent of reminding everyone that lake and river updates are much needed, often needed, and don't appear out of thin air. If it works well, we may do it again, perhaps when things start to thaw back out!
So spread the word, submit
as many (legitimate, helpful and
accurate) reports as you can, sign up to be a Skipper
if you can help more, and thank Body Glove
today. Give them a big shout out, I really appreciate them teaming up with us on this!
Submit a report for a lake
now. Thank you for your contribution!

This cool, great job getting this put together Matt! This can be one of the most important time of the year for conditions reports for lakes as they ice up. Remember folks, CONDITIONS reports, not necessarily fishing reports. :-)
