Drew Benton won $100K and a guaranteed spot in the Classic.
He got behind a marina which had been moored to a bluff rock cliff. With the lowering water levels,
the owners had loosened the mooring cables, and allowed the marina to float out another 8'.
That was just enough for Drew Benton to get his boat between the wall and the marina and into a relatively unfished area. having to raise trolling motor and big engine to navigate the narrow shallow area.
My boat and camera man went in there also to film on Day 3, and I had not seen this opening before. Maybe I missed it....not visible to the average bear,
A boat slip owner asked how we got in there, and she said it had not been accessible recently???....Anyway, Drew returned there on Day 4 and fished that area and surrounding
areas to stay in the lead from Day 3, and cement the win.
On Day 4, we followed/filmed Brent Chapman 40miles up the Colorado below Marble Falls, and saw
an area of the lake I had never been. It was a great 4 days following and filming the leaders
as the lead changed, even hourly as we had tracking devices in every boat. The tournament was streamed live over the internet with the several cameras we had on boats during the day, and we changed boats as the lead changed.
