TDYfly Anglers hosted guests all the way from Arkansas with a plan to look for Kokanee running into the South Platte River upstream of Eleven Mile Reservoir in Colorado’s South Park. The only salmon sighting was one spawned out carcass just upstream from the CR59 bridge but cutt-bows and browns were still responding to grasshoppers with a size 18 or smaller dropper. The in-stream improvements are still on-going and several new riffles and pools are already providing feeding and resting lies. Certainly worth the 1.5 hour drive from Colorado Springs if you happen to have a free day while visiting there. As you can see in the photos, juvenile brown trout were especially aggressive. . .
