Lake fishing is available at Pinecrest, a marina with a boat launch ramp and outboard fishing boats for rent is available. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout. Bank fishing is popular around the lake (not allowed at the beach or marina), especially near the dam. From USFS: Pinecrest Lake is located 30 miles east of Sonora on State Highway 108.
