Boating is allowed and the launch ramps are available at Whiskey Creek, Oak Bottom and the Brandy Creek areas. Brandy and Oak have snack bars and small stores, Oak Bottom also has a marina with boat rentals. Kayaking, swimming, waterskiing, scuba diving, sailing and canoeing are all popular activities at Whiskeytown, but personal watercraft are prohibited. Anglers can fish year round for Kokanee, ... Getting there:
From NPS: From Interstate 5, take the Highway 44 West exit toward Downtown Redding and Eureka. From Downtown Redding, follow Highway 299 west toward Eureka for approximately 8 miles to reach the Visitor Center.
