General Details:

Lake Aloha is a feature of the Desolation Wilderness, with shallow, clear waters sitting in a wide granite basin carved by glaciers in the last ice age.
Report from 2008 says all fish were removed from this lake for a Yellow Legged Frog study.... Log in for additional details...

Getting there:

This lake can only be reached on foot. It can be reached by hiking west from Echo Lake (California) or the Glen Alpine Springs Trailhead, near the city of South Lake Tahoe.
