Big bass fishing is a popular draw at most Southern California lakes, this is no different at Diamond Valley Reserve Lake. Its record Large Mouth Bass is 16.43lbs, caught in 2007. This area is also home to many other species of game fish including Trout, Carp and Catfish. Make sure to bring plenty of water as temperatures can reach upwards of 100 degrees before noon.... From San Diego County: Take Interstate 15 north to the 215 north split. Transition onto the Interstate 215 north (two right lanes). Continue to Newport Road exit and turn right onto Newport and continue east. Newport name will change to Domenigoni Parkway. Follow Domenigoni Pkwy to Searl Parkway and turn right to the Visitor Center. Entrance to Center parking is at the first stop sign.
