General Details:

The largest reservoir in Napa County, California, Lake Berryessa inundates Putah Creek in the Berryessa Valley. Named for the first European settlers in the valley, Berryessa is the Anglicization of Berrelleza, a Basque surname. Monticello Dam was completed in 1957, creating a twenty-six mile long ... From Napa, take CA-121 (Monticello Rd) north to California 128 (Chapell Valley Rd). Turn left (northwest) and continue to the Berryessa Knoxville Rd/Knoxville Rd turn right and follow to the reservoir.
