It's been a while since I've done one of these, too long. We have too many great skippers here to not keep up with this. Life gets distracting, sorry all.

Though many of us have gotten to personally fish with him, he answered a few questions so we could get to know him a little more as an angler. Thanks Cisco.

My earliest memory of fishing would have to be a trip to Monarch Lake with my dad. It must have been in early winter because I remember walking in the snow and mud. When we were crossing the river below the lake dad broke through the ice and got all wet. At around five years old I though it was hilarious. I was fortunate to learn fishing at a very young age.  Dad and I still get out on the water a few times a year and always have a great time. 

I fish for fun. It doesn't matter what I'm fishing for or who I'm with, I just enjoy catching fish.  I also like to learn new stuff and teach others what I know. I've found most people that fish are pretty good people to hang out with.

My favorite fish to fish for would probably be wipers because they fight like no other fish in Colorado. I primary troll for everything and have gotten pretty good at it over the years for most species. During the winter I'm all about lake trout fishing. I have a pretty good technique for lakers that generally puts plenty of fish on the ice. I'm happy to share my technique... on the ice!

I keep my fair share of eater size fish. My wife and I eat walleye year-round. Frying it is always good but takes a while and gets messy. My favorite way to eat the eyes is to take your fillets in a tinfoil boat, put down a little olive oil on the foil. I like onions and garlic. Cut up I lay them on heavy, sprinkle on some seasoning such as Lowrys or Johnny's, a little garlic salt, and butter. Put it on the grill until the onions are cooked.  By then your fish is ready.   For the lakers or salmon I make up a killer brine and smoke them.

My dream fishing vacation would be a trip to Alaska to catch the big salmon. I'm sure it will happen someday. A fish I have never caught or really tried to catch but would really like to is tiger musky. All that trolling I do limits my casts. I probably have a few thousand more to go. 

I became a lake skipper about three or four years ago. It seemed like the thing to do. I was spending quite a bit of time on the site and enjoyed helping people out. Becoming a skipper made it easier for people to contact me and gave me another level into the site. Fish Explorer has given me some wonderful opportunities to meet other people who are doing the same stuff I am.
