New Episode: CarpQuest S6E2 - A new PB Mirror Carp

Multiple mugs of coffee cannot prepare you for this insane session from a few weeks ago.

With my usual spots taken I setup on the east shore of the main reservoir facing out into the wide open water. What a crazy session followed, with four carp in the 20's landed, a handful of fish in the mid teens and finally a new PB mirror.

What a great afternoon's carp fishing!

Hope you enjoy.

<teaser: the new PB mirror carp only lasted a week, landed an even bigger one the next session!>

Hope you Enjoy !

What an awesome day! Good for you John! The carp with almost no scales....back in my youth the old guys at Sloans would have classifications for their carp and would have called that a leather carp. Is that just something they made up? Great video sir.

Awesome day of fishing John. Those are the days that keep us grinding. Great job and thanks for the inspiration.

Yes, it's great to be back in the game, albeit with a much reduced # of sessions I can get out on the bank side this year. The carp gods have certainly favored me so far with a bounty of catches, 20+ lb'ers, PB mirrors (the next monster mirror will be revealed in episode 3) and a pair big commons pushing the scales to almost 30 lb's (upcoming in episode 4). Bron, as you noted, that 25 lb mirror was so close to what we would have called a leather, alas it had just a couple of scales, so would still be a mirror, just ! Amazing fish though for Colorado. Tight-Lines, John
