NPS: Drive 10 miles north of Fort Collins on US Hwy 287. Turn left onto Colorado Hwy 14. Travel approximately 51 miles west on Highway 14 (Poudre Canyon Hwy) and turn south onto Long Draw Road (forest road 156). Drive 13 miles to La Poudre Pass Trailhead. The trail, combined with the Forest Service access road from the La Poudre Pass Trailhead is 2.75 miles long. The Forest Service access road follows the Grand Ditch.
