Getting there:
US-34 to Old Fall River Rd to Lawn Lake Trailhead. Lawn Lake Trail to Ypsilon Lake Trail. The trail to Ypsilon Lake is consistently steep throughout, letting up when you reach barren Chipmunk Lake. The reward is one of the msot serene and aromatic hikes through a picturesque stand of tall pines. It's one of the best places in the Park to truly hear silence. Unfortunately, the trees won't be around lone as many are plagued by the pine beetle.
