The impressive Grand Mesa, formed by lava flows, glaciers, and erosional forces, gives the angler over 100 lakes and reservoirs in which to fish. Some are well off the beaten path, but Ward Creek Reservoir sits adjacent to Highway 65, which travels up and over the mesa.
