Oak Ridge SWA area consists of four units, one of which is Lake Avery. Hunting is a greater draw to this area than the fishing. Deer and Elk hunting are considered exceptional. The Lake Avery unit offers good camping, picnic areas, toilets and a boat ramp.

The fishery is primarily managed as a trout fishery, although with illicitly introduced crappie it is offering an excellent opp... Log in for additional details...

Getting there:

20 miles east of Meeker. Take State Highway 13 for 1.5 miles, turn right on to County Road 8 for 19 miles. Turn left at the dam to access the outlet of the lake or proceed up County Road 8 for another mile to reach the inlet.
