My Buddy and I got up to Grand Mesa last week and got into some nice multi-species action. Lots of Rainbows, some Brooks, and 4 white suckers! We kept the brookies and suckers (Attached photo)!! Got some really nice drone shots of the area too!
Ice was a solid 2 feet and that was by the open water inlet that we were fishing. Probaly 3 feet out away from that. Weather was really nice, and just a little wind consistent throughout the day. LOTS of snow still up there. Moved to the side of the bank without my snowshoes and stepped into stomach deep snow lol.
If you're still looking for hardwater and good place to escape, Grand Mesa is a good place to consider!
