Lake Palestine Lake Palestine is located on the Neches River, 15 miles southwest of Tyler. With a surface area of 25,560 acres this moderately clear reservoir offers fishing for a little bit of everything. A popular water for largemouth bass tournaments, Palestine also offers good white and hybrid bass fishing. Catfish are abundant with a shot at trophy-sized fi	Lake Georgetown Lake Georgetown, located just west of Georgetown, was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control. Largemouth bass is excellent, with fish over 10 pounds. There is also a good white bass population. Catfish and crappie are also present.
