Lake Georgetown, Tyler Texas - Lake Georgetown, located just west of Georgetown, was constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for flood control. Largemouth bass is excellent, with fish over 10 pounds. There is also a good white bass population. Catfish and crappie are also present.

Getting there: Directions per US Army Corps of Engineers:

Driving from North ( Belton Area )

CEDAR BREAKS PARK - Driving south on IH 35, take exit 262 ( aka Williams Drive or FM 2338 ). Turn right on Williams Drive at redlight and continue for approximately 5 miles to D.B. Wood Road. Turn left on D.B. Wood Road and continue for approximately 2.5 miles to Cedar Breaks Road. Turn right on Cedar Breaks Road and continue approximately 1.5 miles to the park.

JIM HOGG PARK - Driving south on IH 35, take exit 262 ( aka Williams Drive or FM 2338 ). Turn right on Williams Drive at redlight and continue for approximately 7 miles to Jim Hogg Road. Turn left on Jim Hogg Road and continue approximately 1.5 miles to the park.

TEJAS PARK - Driving south on IH35, take exit 262 (aka Williams Drive or FM 2338). Turn right on Williams Drive at the redlight and continue for approximately 8 miles turn left on FM 3405. Take FM 3405 down approximately 6.8 miles turn left on CR 258. Follow CR 258 to Tejas Par
