Somerville Lake, College Station Texas - Somerville Lake, located in Somerville, offers great outdoor recreation, water sports, fishing, hunting, and boating. Well known as a quality white bass fishery, it also offers good fishing for hybrid striped bass, channel catfish and crappie. Largemouth bass can reach 10 pounds plus, and are popular with many anglers.

Getting there: Per U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, directions from Bryan/College Station to:

Yegua Creek Park - take FM 60W to Lyons. Turn left on Highway 36S. Follow 36S approximately 7 miles to FM 1948. Turn right. Follow FM 1948 approximately 2.5 miles. Turn right into park complex.

Rocky Creek Park - Take FM 60W to Lyons. Turn left on Highway 36S. Follow 36S approximately 7 miles to FM 1948. Turn right. Follow FM 1948 approximately 5 miles. Turn right into park complex.
From Caldwell: Take Highway 36S. Follow 36S approximately 21.5 miles to FM 1948. Turn right. Follow FM 1948 approximately 5 miles. Turn right into park complex.

Welch Park - Take FM 60W to Lyons. Turn left on Highway 36S. Follow Hwy 36S approximately 2.5 miles to Thornberry Drive (yellow flashing light). Turn right. Follow road for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right into park complex.

Big Creek Park/Marina - Take FM 60W to Lyons. Turn right on Highway 36N. Follow 36N .25 mile to FM 60W. Turn left. Follow FM 60W appr
Boating: All Boats Allowed.
