Proctor Lake, Comanche Texas - Proctor Lake was built to provide flood control and supply water to area communities. Additionally it offers some of the best fishing, camping and boating in Texas. The reservoir supports large populations of bass, shad, and crappie. Additionally, it supports some of the best wiper (hybrid bass) fishing in Texas.

Getting there: From USACE: Promontory Park can easily be accessed off of State Highway 16 and FM 2318. Copperas Creek Park can easily be accessed off of State Highway 377/67 and FM 2861. Sowell Creek Park can easily be accessed off of State Highway 377/67 and FM 1476. Our Special Use Area also known as High Point Park can be accessed off of State Highway 377/67 and FM 1476 then by turning south on FM 1496.
