Canyon Lake, New Braunfels Texas - Canyon Reservoir was built in the 1950’s for flood control and water conservation. With a surface area of 8,230 acres and 80 miles of shorelines and numerous boat ramps, anglers have plenty of areas to seek out the abundant catfish and white/striped bass, although largemouth bass is the most popular species pursued.
