Is there a fishfinder out there like a vex that can be use on open water?I dont want to change up the transducer on my vex and load it on a toon,Im lookin for something that might show my jig, lure (kinda like jiggin)and like to have a clear readin of the temp and structure too, that I set up on a toon without mounting the transdcer on the motor in case I go some where without the motor on it ,I have never owned one before except for the vex for the ice,I have been on boats that are equipped with them and they are useful, any recommendations?

Thanks

I had a fish finder a long time ago and made a removable bracket that fit over the side of the boat to hold the transducer. I could take it with many anywhere.

I don't know much about them these days though - but here is a link that might be of some use, maybe: [log in for link]
