Cond: Today Tuesday April 24, 2012. Current "**Estimated Water Temperature**" 70 Degrees. Updated On: 02/16/2012 24 Hour Change: Ʈ.30 Current Lake Level: 648.63 ft. MSL Full Pool: 649.00 ft. MSL 04/24/2012 Fishing reports Large Mouth, Small Mouth, White, Spotted, Striped Bass, with Crappie, and Lake Catfish---> Large Mouth Bass - At west bay marina this morning. After 9 oclock there was no action, but from six to 9 the largmouth were very active. Baby bass colored rattle traps and baby blue color rattle traps got the most of the hits. Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions:70 degrees in in the large mouth bass prime water temperature range and fishing should be good right now. Baitfish are much more active in this water temperature and the large mouth bass will be feeding aggressively throughout the day. This is a great time of year to be on the water. Eagle Mountain Lake Large mouth Bass Rating: 3.6 out of possible 5 GOOD. Small mouth bass are generally their most active at 70. Bait fish are much more active in this water temperature and the small mouth bass will be feeding aggressively throughout the day. Spotted Bass Tips for Current Conditions:In the 70 degrees range, spotted bass are generally their most active at this water temperature. Baitfish are much more active in this water temperature and the spotted bass will be feeding aggressively throughout the day. White Bass can be found schooling in open water right now. Large quantities are easily found and catching a limit (25) can be done in as little as an hour! use a rattle trap, white or chartruese grub and you should do fine. the shools are mooving very quickly chasing bait, a larger trolling motor is useful. Striped Bass Tips - Try banging the rod rapidly on the water whilst saying here fishy...fishy. Sounds corny but it really works.. Really i have not a clue, i did catch a baby on a white spinner jig 2 weeks ago at Scampi's Cove while hanging out, waiting for the restaurant/bar to OPEN!!! Crappie prefer this water temperature and will be actively feeding and staying in solid patterns. Baitfish are more active and schooling in all parts of the lake in this water temperature.,Not killing'em like the White's, but hang on it's about that time they really start feeding. The entire catfish family is very active and actively feeding in this water temperature. All catfish including blue catfish, flathead and channel catfish will be looking for their next meal. It's a perfect time to get on the water and fill the freezer. Good luck out there. Very Good like the Whites. Current Lunar Fishing Tip: The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water. Sunrise: 06:50 CST Sunset: 20:04 CST Moon Phase: Waxing Crescent 21% Illuminated,12 Days to Full fishintexasbilldlavoie
