Biography:

Banning starting his fishing life in the heart of the Rocky Mountains chasing rainbow trout near Vail, Colorado and his uncle's ranch in Wyoming. During his childhood he lived in Stuart, FL Hilton Head Island, SC and Austin, TX. The variety of places introduced him to a variety of species and fishing techniques that created the foundation to always continue to learn about the nuances of fishing. During college years he spent most of his time through out the Rockies chasing trout and oaring rafts from British Columbia to Washington to Arizona to New Mexico.

He was 15 when he got his first job at a fishing shop and in 2005 he moved back to Austin to continue is full time work in the fishing industry as a consultant to manufacturers with having only taken a few months of work outside of his career. He continues to chase a variety of species and locations, but focusing his pursuits in Texas.
