Biography:

A San Diego Native, Joshua’s fishing experience started with his first trip at the age of three. His father took him to the San Diego River with a cane pole where he caught a 2.25 lb. crappie that sparked his fishing addiction. Since then he’s conquered fresh water in California, Colorado, Arizona, and Oklahoma always targeting Black Bass species. However Joshua's favorite place to fish is the ocean where he has wrangled in every type of saltwater bass along with many other species.

On May 17, 2010, he returned from a deployment to Afghanistan and his eyes were re-opened to the excitement of fishing. “I thought back to early times when my greatest hobby was fishing and decided to dedicate myself to kayak fishing.” In January 2011, he started his professional fishing journey, obtaining sponsors, making contacts, and most importantly catching fish. Joshua frequents both fresh and salt water continuing his path in professional kayak fishing. His passion and experience has netted him Pro Staff for a wide range of companies. In addition to his involvement with Fish Explorer you can follow Joshua as he routinely shares his knowledge via his own brand of video's on YouTube, called Beast Mode Outdoors, documenting various fishy subjects as well as kayak fishing trips, survival, bow hunting and the outdoors.
