Also known as Carlstrom Reservoir, Cowdrey Lake is a high north park lake with very few trees surrounding the area, much like its neighbors to the south and west, Lake John and the Delaney Butte Lakes. Signs are posted to the north and south of the parking area. The fenceline as marked to the N and S is the boundary. Otherwise, there's a few hundred yards of shore access on the east side and mostly private land on the west. The lake holds some big trout and is largely forgotten by fishermen that frequent north park. The area houses one restroom, the only facilities on the property. The town of Cowdrey does not have any amenities.
Getting there: From Walden, travel north about 10 miles and turn left on CR 39 prior to the town of Cowdrey. Fees: Habitat Stamp required Boating: Wakeless. Boating is prohibited in a manner that creates a white water wake. Ice Fishing: Ice fishing allowed
