Harriman Lake, Littleton Colorado - A seventy acre urban water located in the southwest Denver Metro area, Harriman Lake offers shore anglers the opportunity to pursue such warmwater species, as bass, catfish, sunfish, and tiger muskie.
Harriman Lake Park is a cooperative effort between Foothills Parks and Recreation and Denver Water, with Denver Water owning the lake and Foothills leasing the recreation rights. The lake is fed by an irrigation ditch and is surrounded by upland prairie habitat. In order to maintain the natural integrity of the park amenities are limited to picnic tables at the south end. There is a 1.43 mile loop trail surrounding the lake with interpretive stops describing historical and natural features.
This seventy acre urban water has a maximum depth of approximately 20 feet, with the typical depth being in the 15 to 18 feet range. While rainbows are occasionally stocked, the primary species are warmwater, including bass, carp, catfish, panfish, and the elusive tiger muskie.
